Reading your numbers: views, hold rate, clicks and sales
A plain guide to which metric tells you what, and what to do about it.

Numbers only help if you know what each one is telling you. Here is the order we read them in.
Views and hold rate
These show whether the hook and the first seconds worked. If people leave early, change the opening.
Clicks
Clicks show whether the message made people curious enough to act. If views are high but clicks are low, sharpen the call to action.
Sales
Sales show whether the offer and the page convert. If clicks are healthy but sales are low, the issue is usually after the video.
Compare like with like
Compare videos made in the same week, on the same platform, to the same audience. Otherwise the differences tell you very little.
